Research Interest
Dr. Corbelli has presented nationally and published work in a variety of different research content areas including systematic review, medical education research such as curriculum development and evaluation, and women’s health. In addition, she continues to actively mentor residents and fellows in their own research and education projects.
Clinical Interest
Dr. Corbelli practices inpatient and outpatient internal medicine at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, where she completed residency in the Women's Health Track. She is fellowship trained in general internal medicine/Women's Health and has expertise in health issues that are unique to women, are more common in women, and present differently in women. Provision of contraception services is an important component of her outpatient practice. She also regularly attends on the hospital service at UPMC Montefiore. She has a special interest in health care for the underserved and is co-medical director of the Program for Health Care to Underserved Populations (PHCUP). In this capacity, she directs a volunteer team of clinicians and health professionals at the Birmingham Free Clinic, which provides quality medical and pharmaceutical services at no cost to over 1500 uninsured individuals in the Pittsburgh area each year.
Educational Interest
Dr. Corbelli is a clinician-educator, the Vice-Chair for Education in the Department of Medicine and an associate program director of the internal medicine residency. She is also actively involved in teaching medical students in all four years of training. She is fellowship-trained in medical education and has extensive teaching experience at both the national and local level. She co-directs a master’s level course entitled “Fundamentals of Adult Learning” in the Institute for Clinical Research Education at the University of Pittsburgh. Education and mentorship, from the medical student through fellow level, are among the most important priorities of her career.
