Research Interest
Dr. Mayowski studies methods of increasing writing self-efficacy and self-regulation in early-career biomedical researchers. She researches authorship ethics in higher education and works on assessment of diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice in graduate curricula and academic health centers.
Educational Interest
Dr. Mayowski has been teaching adult learners to write and organize their research since joining the University in 1998. She is a co-author of the University of Pittsburgh Writing Style Manual.
