Bio

Dr. Daniel Dunlap graduated with a B.S. in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from the University of Michigan. He continued on to Wayne State University for medical school, where he was selected to be a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honors society. He completed his residency at the University of Michigan while working in Dr. Gary Huffnagle’s laboratory with Dr. Robert Dickson. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Dunlap enjoys sports, reading, singing and playing drums.

Research Interests

Dr. Dunlap studied the effects of intrinsic lung conditions on the growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa while completing residency training at the University of Michigan. During fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh, his research has focused on differences in the lung microbiome between individuals with HIV COPD versus those without. He remains interested in the lung microbiome in general, ARDS, and Interventional Pulmonology.
