Announcements and Tidbits

Volunteers Needed

The Program for Health Care to Underserved Populations (PHCUP) is always in need of physician and pharmacist volunteers at its clinics, the Birmingham Free Clinic and the Women's Center and Shelter Clinic. Every bit helps! If you are interested in volunteering or would like more information, please contact Mary Herbert at herbertmi@upmc.edu or 412-692-4901.

This past year, the PHCUP added gynecologic services on site, in partnership with Adagio Health. It has also added a portable echocardiogram machine, thanks to the generosity of Drs. John Gorscan, Fred Crock, and Michael Mathier of the Cardiovascular Institute.

These partnerships and the commitment of time and money by so many of you is what continues to enable the PHCUP to serve some of the most medically vulnerable members of our community.
