2009 General Internal Medicine Fellowships

Three physicians joined the General Internal Medicine Fellowship Program in July 2009:

Briar Duffy, MD, instructor of medicine, is enrolled in the clinician-educator training program, with a focus on women's health, and will be at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System. Dr. Duffy received an MD from the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, in 2006 and completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics in Madison in 2009.

Jed Gonzalo, MD, clinical instructor of medicine, is enrolled in the clinician-educator training program. Dr. Gonzalo received his MD from Penn State College of Medicine in 2006 and completed a residency in internal medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston in 2009.

Anuradha Munshi, MD, instructor of medicine, is enrolled in the clinician-educator training program, with a focus on women's health, and will be at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System. Dr. Munshi enrolled in the 6-year BS/MD program and received a BS in biology from the University of Akron and an MD from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in 2003. She completed a residency program at Mount Carmel Hospital, Columbus, Ohio, in 2006. She joined our fellowship program after 3 years as a hospitalist with the Department of Critical Care Medicine at UPMC South Side.
