Profile
Kelly V. Liang, MD was raised in Bradford, PA. She developed an early interest in a career in medicine when she attended the PA Governor's School for Health Care prior to her senior year of high school. The combination of intellectual stimulation and ability to help others drew her to the medical field. She completed her undergraduate education at Pennsylvania State University in University Park, PA and her medical school education at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. She then completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Nephrology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN from 2002 to 2008. She joined the Renal-Electrolyte Division of the University of Pittsburgh in September 2008. She is pursuing an academic career balancing clinical research and teaching in addition to active patient care.
