Profile
Dr. Geetha Chalasani is an Assistant Professor, Renal-Electrolyte Division, Department of Medicine, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She is also an Associate Member of the Thomas E. Strazl Transplantation Institute. Prior to that, she was a Research Associate
Scientist, Section of Nephrology, Department of Medicine, Yale University School of Medicine. Her main interests in transplantation immunology are memory T cell biology and pathogenesis of chronic rejection. Her laboratory is focused on understanding how memory T cells are generated in transplantation. She is investigating B cell – T cell interactions in promoting T cell memory. Another area of research in her laboratory is understanding the role of innate immune activation in the pathogenesis of chronic rejection.
