Profile
Dr. Jamie Johnston is Professor of Medicine in the department of medicine and renal-electrolyte division. He serves as director of the renal fellowship training program, director of clinical services for the renal-electrolyte division and is the director of the acute dialysis unit at UPMC-Presby. Dr. Johnston focuses his energy in the areas of patient care and education. He teaches at all levels of medical education from the undergraduate honors college through Post graduate medical education. His efforts in education have been recognized with a National Golden Apple Teaching Excellence award from the American Medical Student Association, The Dean’s Master Educator Award and the University of Pittsburgh Chancellor’s Teaching award as well as eight Excellence in Education awards and the University of Pittsburgh Golden Apple award from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine (UPSOM) medical Students.
