Dr. Grum graduated medical school at the Medical College of Pennsylvania (now Drexel University College of Medicine) in Philadelphia. Following this, she completed an internal residency program at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia. She then did a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the Medical College of Pennsylvania. After several years in the Philadelphia area in both academic, private practice and pharmaceutical positions, Dr. Grum moved to the Pittsburgh area in 1999 and was a pulmonary/critical care faculty physician at Allegheny General Hospital. In 2002, she became the Chief of the Pulmonary Division at the Pittsburgh VA as well as Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Grum’s clinical time is spent primarily at the Pittsburgh VA, a major affiliate of the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC. The VA serves as the tertiary referral center for veterans in the western Pennsylvania region. Her interests include lung cancer, interstitial lung disease, and sepsis.
