Educational Programs

The Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine conducts a comprehensive educational program in lung diseases and critical care medicine for trainees, physicians, and patients throughout the region.

Educational programs for medical students, residents, and fellowship level trainees are conducted primarily through the School of Medicine and our primary teaching institutions, the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center - Presbyterian Shadyside Hospital and the Oakland Veterans Administration Medical Center. Trainees from non UPMC institutions can learn more about participation in these teaching programs on our employment and volunteer opportunities page.

In addition to our training programs, the Division supports education in lung disease for patients and physicians throughout the region. Requests for CME approved educational opportunities can be coordinated through the Center for Continuing Education in the Health Sciences.

Our on-line program for education in lung disorders includes select journal clubs and case conferences in web format. These can be reached via our conferences page.
