Profile
Dr. Michael Dunn is board certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine and practices in UPMC's Digestive Disorders Center. Dr. Dunn served in the US Army for 28 years, completing service at the rank of Brigadier General. He commanded the Western Region of military hospitals in the U.S. and served as commander of the Walter Reed Health Care System in Washington, DC. Dr.
Dunn is currently a Senior Medical Advisor to the US Secretary of Health and Human Services for medical protection of citizens from terrorist weapons of mass destuction and is a member of the PA Governor's Commission on Chronic Care Management, Reimbursement and Cost Reduction.
He has authored 40 clinical and research papers and 14 book chapters and was honored as a Laureate by the Army chapter of the American College of Physicians.
