Profile
Dr. Gennari sees patients at UPMC Senior Care-Shadyside both as a primary care physician and for geriatric consultation. She is also active on the inpatient service at UPMC Shadyside Hospital. She was instrumental in developing UPMC Senior Care’s hospitalist service, where one of the geriatricians in the practice is dedicated to the inpatient service at all times, thus increasing the time spent with patients when they are hospitalized. On the inpatient service, she also provides geriatric consultations as well as follows the practice’s primary care patients. Dr. Gennari also has a strong interest in long term care. She currently has a busy practice at The Willows, a skilled nursing facility, and at Woodside Place, a dementia care facility, both part of Presbyterian Services Corp. in Oakmont. Finally, she has a strong commitment to education and plays an active role in teaching medical students, residents and geriatric fellows in the inpatient, outpatient and long term care settings.
