Mass spectrometry analysis laboratory

As the Director of the ONRC Stable Isotope Lab, Dr. DeLany provides the scientific leadership and technical expertise for the Lab to be able to function as a "core laboratory" for NIH-funded projects in the areas of obesity and nutrition and obesity-related diseases that might need these services. Dr. DeLany oversees and establishes assays for the use of stable isotope methodologies pertaining to measuring enrichment of glucose, fatty acid, glycerol for calculation of rates of sbustrate flux in humans. Dr. DeLany is an established expert with nearly two decades of experience in stable isotope methodology and in directing a core laboratory for these assays at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center affiliated with LSU.
