Dr. Mon's clinical interests include management of diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders, pituitary disorders, and osteoporosis.
Educational Interest
Dr. Mon's educational interests include:
- Endocrinology Educational Coordinator in the UPMC McKeesport Internal Medicine Residency Program
– Moderator for endocrine-related sessions Journal clubs
– Supervision of residents with research projects, quality improvement and patient safety projects, abstract submissions and poster presentations at regional and national conferences
– Attending Physician on the Endocrine Rotation of internal medicine residents for both inpatient and outpatient settings
– Preceptor for Family Medicine residents in Endocrine clinic
– Endocrinology Educational Coordinator providing Endocrinology Noon Conferences for internal medicine residents (10 sessions per academic year)
– Instructor of endocrinology courses for family medicine residents
