For Patients and Families

The goal of palliative care is to keep patients comfortable when a cure is not available and to provide support and comfort to patients and their families. Our palliative care team meets this goal by integrating the hospital consult (inpatient) services with clinic and home-based (outpatient) services. The palliative care team supports the attending physician and other health care providers. They do not replace the patient’s established health care team.

"Dad passed away around 4:30 this morning at home surrounded by his family comfortably and peacefully thanks to your overwhelming kindness and compassionate care."
