Research

The Division of General Internal Medicine’s research enterprise is pursued through the Center for Research on Health Care (CRHC) and the VA’s Center for Equity Research and Promotion (CHERP). The Division also provides a number of educational, training, and career development programs for researchers in clinical and translational science through the Institute for Clinical Research Education (ICRE)

The Center for Research on Health Care (CRHC)  brings together investigators from throughout the health sciences to conduct innovative, high-impact research in the areas of health services and implementation. CRHC researchers study diverse topics of interest and possess a wide range of methodological expertise.

The mission of the Center for Health Equity Research and Promotion (CHERP)  is to advance the quality and equity of health and health care for vulnerable veteran populations.
