Dr. Schenker joined the faculty of the Division of General Internal Medicine, Section of Palliative Care and Medical Ethics in 2010. She is an affiliate faculty member in the Center for Bioethics and Health Law and a member of the Biobehavioral Medicine in Oncology Program at the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Center. She has received funding from the National Palliative Care Research Center, the University of Pittsburgh Clinical Research Scholars (KL2) program and the National Cancer Institute. She is conducting a study to evaluate the integration of palliative care services in the multidisciplinary approach to patients with advanced cancer.
