Research Interest
Dr. Mohamed Khalil's research interest include Diabetes Mellitus and its microvascular complications. He had a double blind cross over study (Thesis) at The University of Alexandria Main Hospital, (Endocrinology unit) under title: Effect of Calcium Channel Blockers on Carbohydrate Metabolism and Hypertension in Diabetic Nephropathy (Overt and Incipient), to fulfill the requirement for the MS degree in Internal medicine 1994.
Clinical Interest
Dr. Mohamed Khalil, MD, joined The Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh in 2017. He is currently a full-time Hospitalist and Core Faculty Member in the Section of Hospital Medicine. His areas of active interest include Adult Hospital Medicine, Diabetes Mellitus and its microvascular complications.
Educational Interest
Dr. Mohamed Khalil has a particular interest in teaching Clinical physical examination and bedside manners as well as Internal Medicine Hospital Medicine for Medical students and Residents.
