Faculty and Staff Updates

Best Wishes

Congratulations to Mark S. Roberts, MD, MPP, who accepted the position of chair of the Department of Health Policy and Management in the Graduate School of Public Health at the University of Pittsburgh.

As Wishwa Kapoor, MD, MPH, said, we all greet this news with mixed emotions:

We wish Mark well in this new assignment and have every confidence that his leadership will be an asset to health policy management and the Graduate School of Public Health. While we hate to see him go, we are delighted that he will still be working with us on a number of ventures. He will have an active role in the Institute for Clinical Research Education (ICRE) as director of the Effectiveness, Outcomes, and Quality Research Track and as principal investigator of the Comparative Effectiveness Supplement for the Clinical and Translational Science Institute. He will continue to teach in the degree programs and will remain a member of the Section of Decision Sciences and Clinical Systems Modeling. He will also continue with his clinical activities here in the Division of General Internal Medicine. So while he will be meeting new and exciting challenges at the Graduate School of Public Health, we are not saying good-bye but best wishes and good luck.
