Clinical Interest
Dr. Lee sees patients with all types of cardiovascular disease in her outpatient practice at UPMC-Presbyterian Hospital, with a special emphasis on valvular disease and noninvasive imaging techniques. She is board certified internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. She is a diplomate of the Council of Nuclear Cardiology and has a Certificate of Special Competency in Comprehensive Adult Echocardiography from the American Society of Echocardiography. Dr. Lee is an active member of the echo and nuclear labs and rounds regularly in the Coronary Intensive Care Unit.
Educational Interest
Dr. Lee is actively involved in medical student and post-graduate education at UPMC. As Director of Medical Student Education, Dr. Lee leads educational initiatives for Pitt Medical students within the Division of Cardiology. She holds leadership positions within the School of Medicine, serving as Clerkship Director for the Cardiology Elective, Course Director for the Cardiology Sophomore Course, Co-director for the Integrated Workshops Course, and Coordinator for the Advanced Physical Exam (APE) Course. In these roles, Dr. Lee participates in course design and administration, faculty recruitment and mentorship, and student education. She interacts with students regularly as a course lecturer, small groups facilitator, and conference leader. Dr. Lee also regularly engages in resident and fellow education as a teaching attending in the CICU and in the echocardiography and nuclear cardiology labs. She was inducted into the Academy of Master Educators in the School of Medicine in 2015.
