Clinical research interests of the renal faculty include:

• peritoneal dialysis
• acute renal failure
• continuous renal replacement therapy
• ICU nephrology
• outcomes and cost of dialysis
• pharmacokinetics of drugs in CRF
• hemodialysis
• diabetic nephropathy
• renal transplantation

Fellows are encouraged to consider training with other faculty members of the University of Pittsburgh with research interests related to kidney diseases, including:

• epidemiology of cardiovascular disease
• diabetes and cardiovascular epidemiology
• decision analysis, health services research
