Clinical research interests of the renal faculty include:
- peritoneal dialysis
- acute renal failure
- continuous renal replacement therapy
- ICU nephrology
- outcomes and cost of dialysis
- pharmacokinetics of drugs in CRF
- hemodialysis
- diabetic nephropathy
- renal transplantation
Fellows are encouraged to consider training with other faculty members of the University of Pittsburgh with research interests related to kidney diseases, including:
- epidemiology of cardiovascular disease
- diabetes and cardiovascular epidemiology
- decision analysis, health services research
