2009 Palliative Medicine Fellowships

Two physicians have been awarded Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Fellowships in Hospice and Palliative Medicine:

Uzma Khan, MD, received an MBBS in 1992 from Aga Khan University Hospital in Karachi, Pakistan, where she was also involved in several research projects. Dr. Khan completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Connecticut in 1998 and then worked as an internist from 1999 until 2002 at the Quality of Life Health Clinic in Alabama. Her most recent position was as an internist with Prime Medical Group, based in Jefferson Hospital.

Rohtesh Mehta, MD, MPH, received an MBBS from Government Medical College in Patiala, Punjab, India. In 2006, he earned an MPH from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. In 2009, he completed his internal medicine residency training at Mercy Catholic Medical Center in Darby, Pennsylvania, and Drexel University School of Medicine.
